Guided Tours in the Verona City Centre
Guided tours organized by the Tourist Office of Verona are returning after high demand, in order to discover the history and beauty of the Scaliger historic Centre.
An amazing opportunity to discover the wonders and the secrets of the city among its richest in history, art and architectural beauties.
A real journey through time in the city that was Roman, second only to Rome for its remains so well preserved, and then it also became the stage of the greatest love story of all time: Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Verona was also the prestigious seat of the Scaligera Lordship, “first refuge and first hostel” of the great poet Dante Alighieri in his exile from Florence, during which he was hosted right in the home of Cangrande I della Scala, to whom he dedicated the entire poem of the Heaven’s Divine Comedy.
The Albergo Mazzanti, thanks to its cozy and relaxing atmosphere in harmony with the history that surrounds you, is the perfect place to stay, being just two minutes walk from Piazza dei Signori, located in the centre of Verona, where the famous statue of Dante stands out.
The visits, lasting about one hour and thirty minutes, are held every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays at 11.00 am (available in Italian and English).
The starting point of the tours is the Tourist Office, in via degli Alpini number 9 (Piazza Bra).
Reservations are not required: simply go to the Tourist Information and Reception Office, pay for participation and join the tour.
